Research Analyst

The Research Analyst reports to the Senior Manager, Library Resources and is responsible for providing research and reference services using electronic and print resources. The Research Analyst will work with attorneys and business professionals to provide research for various purposes, including client related requests, presentations, articles, and business development activities and will provide training, instruction and support in research methodologies and tools.

 

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth research across all practice groups and business services using electronic and print resources.
  • Train and support attorneys and business professionals on the efficient use of firm resources.
  • Respond to incoming library requests, and ensure strong communication, timeliness, thoroughness and accuracy.
  • Assist with other research tasks and projects as required.
  • Proactively stays abreast of new products and services and lead demos and trials, resource evaluations, and products recommendations.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years’ of library experience, preferably within a law firm.
  • Master’s Degree in Library Science or JD required.
  • Proficient in Westlaw, Lexis, Bloomberg Law, Capital IQ, Intelligize, VitalLaw and FactSet is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, SharePoint, library catalog software.
  • Strong knowledge of library systems and workflows.
  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within and across departments.
  • Ability to work well in a fast paced environment and meet strict deadlines.

 

We have positions available in our NY, Washington, D.C. and London offices.

 

The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is $80,000 to $115,000. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the applicant, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location from which the applicant will be performing the job.
