The FFA’s European NextGen initiative held their first virtual event earlier this week. The event had originally been scheduled to be held at Haynes & Boone’s offices in London in April but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The original event was intended to focus on career progression, but due to the current climate, this took a new perspective and focused on career progression whilst working remotely.
The "Progressing Your Career in a Remote Environment" workshop was run by Alexandra Conroy, a former investment funds partner at Kirkland & Ellis and Fried Frank. A qualified coach who runs her own business, Alex helps professionals in the City take the next big step in their career.
Alex answered attendees' live questions, with a focus on how to create economic value. She also created a workbook, titled "Take Control of Your Career Advancement," for attendees, which is available as a free download for a limited period on Alex’s website.
