Cadwalader real estate partner Bonnie Neuman has once again been named to Law360’s Rising Stars list, which recognizes attorneys under 40 “whose legal accomplishments transcend their age.”
The winners were chosen from more than 1,200 submissions. According to Law360, the Rising Star list is comprised of top litigators and deal makers who have demonstrated outstanding career accomplishments and practice at a level usually seen from veteran attorneys.
“It’s an honor and privilege to receive this award, especially when judged among many worthy peers,” Neuman said. “Hard work is its own reward, but it’s also great to receive third-party recognition.”
Neuman, who has been named to the list every year since 2016, focuses her practice on the area of real estate finance, representing clients in domestic and cross-border transactions, including the origination of mortgage and mezzanine loans, syndication, loan servicing, non-performing loan securitizations, loan restructuring and bankruptcy-related matters. Her clients include global investment banks, national and international financial institutions, investors and servicers and deals range from single property trophy assets to several hundred property portfolios. In the past twelve months, she has advised on nearly $15 billion of mortgage and mezzanine loan originations for her clients.
Neuman also plays a leading role in Cadwalader’s diversity and recruiting efforts. Herself a graduate of the firm’s Sponsorship Program for high-performing diverse associates and special counsel (and now a “NextGen Sponsor” in the program), Neuman is also a member of the firm’s hiring committee and serves as a partner mentor for summer associates and is involved in the firm’s recruiting efforts both on- and off-campus. She also is active in diversity efforts within the commercial real estate industry as a member of the Commercial Real Estate Finance Council (CREFC) Women’s Community Outreach Committee, where she serves as the co-chair of the Education and Empowerment Sub-Committee.
