A restructuring on which Cadwalader advised, the restructuring of Seadrill Limited, has been shortlisted by The American Lawyer for “Global Finance Deal of the Year” as part of The American Lawyer Industry Awards 2019.
The firm represented the largest existing equity holder and new money provider in the Chapter 11 restructuring of Seadrill Limited, which involved the creation and implementation of a unique corporate structure. The Cadwalader team included partners Greg Petrick, Ingrid Bagby, Ellen Holloman, William Mills and Vincent Brophy; special counsels Gillian Burns and Nathan Parker; and associates Michael Lynch, Richard Solow and Nicholas Vislocky.
The American Lawyer Industry Award winners will be announced at a ceremony on December 4 in New York City.
