Cadwalader today announced that Andrew Vickers has joined the firm as a Special Counsel in its Global Leveraged Finance & Private Credit team, resident in the London office.
Vickers advises private credit funds and other financial institutions on complex cross-border acquisition and leveraged finance transactions and has particular expertise in private credit and other direct lending structures across all deal sizes. Vickers joins Cadwalader from global corporate credit manager Muzinich & Co., where he was responsible for overseeing all European and Asia Pacific private credit transactions.
“We are excited to welcome Andrew to our firm and to continue the impressive growth of our Leveraged Finance & Private Credit team in London,” said London Managing Partner Greg Petrick. “Andrew’s expertise across all aspects of Leveraged Finance and, in particular, his substantial experience in structuring and executing a wide range of private credit transactions in multiple jurisdictions will perfectly complement our fast-growing team.”
Cadwalader partner Matthew Smith, who leads the firm’s Leveraged Finance & Private Credit Practice in London, added: “Having been fortunate enough to work with Andrew for a number of years, I am delighted we are now able to count him as part of our team. His expertise in advising top-tier private credit funds and other financial institutions is a perfect fit for our Global Finance Practice and a key part of our continued strategic expansion in London.”
Vickers’ arrival is the latest addition in the continued expansion of Cadwalader’s London office. Most recently joining Cadwalader were ESG finance and investment partner Sukhvir Basran and financial regulation partner Alix Prentice.
