Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP, a leading counselor to global financial institutions and corporations, has launched the VS. State Guide, an interactive state-by-state overview of human trafficking legislation, recent news and state-specific resources. The VS. State Guide was developed by VS.: Confronting Modern Slavery in America, the firm’s pro bono campaign committed to raising awareness about, and developing creative solutions to fight, human trafficking in the United States. The VS. State Guide is available on the VS. website at www.vsconfronts.org.
“The VS. State Guide is our latest tool aimed at coordinating the efforts of the organizations and individuals working tirelessly to put an end to the injustice of human trafficking,” said Athena Eastwood, a partner in Cadwalader’s Washington, D.C., office and the VS. chairperson. “We know that we can have a broader and more informed impact, including improved legislation and victim services, when we work together.”
Created in 2012, VS.: Confronting Modern Slavery in America was developed to serve as a coalition-building advocacy group focused on ending human trafficking in the United States.
