Cadwalader maintains its dominance as the most active law firm advising in the global securitization markets, representing clients on the largest number of transactions across the asset classes of ABS, CLOs, CMBS, RMBS and GSE multifamily MBS in the first six months of 2022.
Based on industry league tables*, Cadwalader advised on 96 transactions as issuers’ counsel, valued at approximately $75 billion, and 129 transactions as underwriters’ counsel, valued at approximately $89 billion.
In the U.S. commercial mortgage securitization space, Cadwalader was the leading law firm, again ranked as the top issuer counsel in all three segments of the market: non-agency CMBS, agency deals and CRE CLOs. Cadwalader also earned the top rank as underwriter counsel for both non-agency CMBS and CRE CLOs.
Cadwalader has led the CMBS issuer-counsel league table every year since 2000 and this is the firm’s third consecutive ranking as the number one issuer and underwriter counsel for CRE CLOs.
