Cadwalader Named Among Top Ten Female and Family Friendly Firms by Yale Law Women

Cadwalader has been recognized in the Yale Law Women’s 2018 Top Ten Female & Family Friendly Firms Report in several key categories.

Cadwalader is ranked among the leaders in:

  • leadership and promotions, with women representing at least 50 percent of the lawyers promoted to equity partner in 2017;
  • training and mentoring, where the firm had the highest percentage of women associates participating in mentorship programs; and
  • parental and family accommodations, marked by the highest percentage of men taking caregiver leave.

Yale Law Women (YLW) produces its annual Top Ten Lists by monitoring trends in family friendliness among law firms ranked in the Vault 100. The key criteria include family accommodations, part-time work, and paid leave, as well as indicators of gender equity such as partnership promotions and the composition of leadership committees.

Cadwalader’s commitment to workforce diversity has also been recognized by the Human Rights Campaign, which gave the firm a perfect 100 percent score in its 2018 Corporate Equality Index and named it among the “Best Places to Work for LGBT Equality.”
