Cadwalader has been named “Washington DC Tax Firm of the Year” as part of International Tax Review’s (ITR) annual “Americas Tax Awards,” which recognize the remarkable achievements and developments by tax professionals throughout the Americas over a 12-month period.
Cadwalader’s Tax Group, which is chaired by partner Linda Swartz, guides businesses through the complex tangle of federal and state tax laws and international cross-border issues, including providing guidance regarding tax strategy, planning and compliance for public and private corporations, partnerships, joint ventures, limited liability companies, real estate investment trusts, registered investment companies, private equity and hedge funds, tax-exempt organizations, and other special purpose entities.
Washington DC-based senior tax partner Mark Howe concentrates his practice on financial products, securitization, general corporate finance, securities, and commodities. Mark is also a member of the firm’s Blockchain, Cryptocurrency, and Digital Assets practice, and is a thought leader on the tax aspects of digital assets.
The ITR award winners were announced during a ceremony on September 14.
