Cadwalader was a big winner at last week’s IFLR Americas Awards in New York, earning Structured Finance and Securitization “Team of the Year” and “Deal of the Year” honors.
In naming Cadwalader team of the year, IFLR cited the firm’s innovative work advising Marathon Asset Management on the structuring of its CRE CLO, noting that the transaction “represents a true innovation in the commercial mortgage backed securities market” and required “legally complex structuring to make it work.” The Cadwalader team on the Marathon CRE CLO was led by Capital Markets partner Jeffrey Rotblat and Capital Markets co-chair Stuart Goldstein and included associates Noah Allen, Michael Lyon and Soo Kyong Yi.
“The IFLR awards are a testament to the quality of our clients, and to the top-tier talent and exceptional service we bring to the table,” Goldstein said.
Added Rotblat: “The firm is particularly active in the expanding market for CRE CLOs. Our unparalleled securitization capabilities place us in a unique position to advise CRE CLO issuers, who appreciate the breadth of our expertise.”
Earlier this year Cadwalader was nominated for the IFLR European Structured Finance and Securitization Team of the Year award and for Deal of the Year honors.
