Cadwalader White Collar Defense and Investigations partner Kevin Roberts and associates Duncan Grieve, Shruti Chandhok and Charlotte Glaser have co-authored a chapter in the recently released Anti-Money Laundering 2021: A practical cross-border insight into anti-money laundering law, published by International Comparative Legal Guides (ICLG).
With anti-money laundering (AML) now seen as a top legislative and law enforcement priority in the UK, the U.S., and Europe, their chapter explores some of the tensions and potential pitfalls inherent in cryptocurrencies’ acceptance within the broader financial system, particularly the regulated financial sector and other regulated asset classes.
Their chapter, titled “Anti-Money Laundering and Cryptocurrency: Legislative Reform and Enforcement,” is available here.
Cadwalader’s transatlantic White Collar Defense and Investigations team represents financial institutions, investment firms, broker-dealers, corporations, boards of directors, audit committees, non-governmental organizations, and individuals in criminal, civil, and administrative proceedings, trials, and appeals.
