Cadwalader has been recognized in The M&A Advisor’s annual “Turnaround Awards” as winner in the “Distressed M&A Deal of the Year” category for its work on the credit bid acquisition of MD Helicopters, LLC asset and operations.
The awards, launched in 2002, honor the leading turnaround transactions, companies and dealmakers that represent “the best of the distressed investing and reorganization industry.”
Cadwalader represented long-time client MBIA Inc. and a joint venture acquisition vehicle majority owned by MBIA and Bardin Hill Investment Partners in connection with the acquisition of aircraft manufacturer MD Helicopters, Inc. through a Bankruptcy Code Section 363 asset sale. Cadwalader also represented the joint venture in connection with the arrangement of a secured term loan with commitments of approximately $60 million effective upon the consummation of the acquisition of MD Helicopters.
