Cadwalader Capital Markets senior counsel Anna Glick has been named 2022 “Woman of the Year” by the Commercial Real Estate Finance Council (CREFC). This highly coveted award is given annually to a CREFC member, as nominated by industry peers, for leadership in the commercial real estate finance industry and for helping to pave the way for other talented women to advance their careers.
As an iconic practitioner in the field of securitization, Glick represents issuers, underwriters, institutional investors and servicers active in the primary and secondary capital markets. Over a more than 40-year career, she has represented issuers/underwriters in billions of dollars of securities offerings, many of which include novel structures and features.
At Cadwalader, Glick was one of the first women to serve on the firm’s Management Committee and to conceive and found its first women’s leadership group.
Linda Swartz, chair of the Firm’s Tax Group and of the Task Force for the Advancement of Women, and a Management Committee member, said, “Anna has always been my inspiration for mentoring and sponsoring our women attorneys. Her vision has allowed us to create a new generation of strong women leaders here at Cadwalader. At the same time, Anna has had just as important an impact on women in the commercial real estate finance space.”
As noted by Glick’s long-time colleague, Stu Goldstein, co-chair of the firm’s Capital Markets Group: "I cannot think of a more deserving honoree than Anna Glick, this year or any year. Over a more than 40-year career, she has set a high bar for excellence for our industry and our firm."
Added Mike Gambro, another long-time colleague and Capital Markets Group co-chair: “Our clients and our firm attorneys alike admire her for her legal insights and her passionate commitment. We are so fortunate to have her as a wonderful colleague and friend.”
