Cadwalader’s Fred Altschuler Authors Chapter in New Edition of Leading Real Estate Finance Guide

Cadwalader senior counsel Fred Altschuler is a contributing author to the recently released Real Estate Titles: The Practice of Real Estate Law in New York, Fourth Edition, published by the New York State Bar Association (NYSBA). Altschuler’s chapter, “Real Estate Finance - The Last 50 Years,” offers an enlightening retrospective of the New York real estate finance market, including the downturns, rebounds and lessons learned over the past half-century.

Altschuler has represented clients since 1973 with respect to the acquisition, financing, mortgage securitization, disposition and leasing of commercial real estate. Since joining Cadwalader’s premier Real Estate Group in 1992, he has advised institutional lenders and investment banks in connection with the origination and securitization of commercial mortgage loans, including the establishment of numerous commercial conduit programs. Altschuler has been recognized as one of the country’s leading real estate lawyers by Chambers USA, Super Lawyers, Who’s Who Legal and The Best Lawyers in America, which named him a 2020 Lawyer of the Year.
