Cadwalader Financial Restructuring partner Ingrid Bagby and Global Litigation partner Ellen Holloman were recognized this week as part of the Corporate Counsel’s “Women, Influence & Power in Law” (WIPL) 2022 awards ceremony in Washington D.C. The awards honor general counsel, in-house leaders and law firm partners who have demonstrated a commitment to advancing the empowerment of women in law and “who demonstrate extraordinary leadership and business acumen.”
Bagby received a “Best Mentor” award, reflecting her roles as a partner sponsor for Cadwalader’s Women’s Leadership Initiative affinity group and member of the firm’s Global Diversity and Corporate Social Responsibility committees. Bagby has long contributed her time, energy and creativity to a range of firm-wide diversity and inclusion programs, including as part of its Taskforce for the Advancement of Women that helped launch the firm’s acclaimed Sponsorship Program.
Holloman, who is also a member of the Global Diversity committee and is a partner sponsor for the Cadwalader Black and Latino Association affinity group, received a “Thought Leadership” award in acknowledgment of her regular industry articles and presentations that help frame the dialogue on important ESG topics. In 2020, Holloman authored the inaugural Diversity & Inclusion chapter for Commercial Litigation in New York State Courts and in recent years has spoken on ESG-related themes in leading venues.
