Cadwalader partner and tax chair Linda Swartz has been named to the 2021 Crain’s New York Business “Notable LGBTQ Leaders & Executives” list.
The second annual list features 58 honorees who are the “salaried embodiment of the LGBTQ community’s vital role in the New York metropolitan area’s economic and civic workings,” and who were selected for their “career achievements, their mentorship of others and their involvement in community and industry organizations.”
In her Crain’s New York profile, Swartz is acknowledged as a leader within the legal industry for both her “high-powered work” in corporate tax law and her significant impact in promoting greater diversity, equity and inclusion within the profession. As examples, the publication cited Swartz’s involvement in founding Cadwalader’s Civil Rights Series, a year-round program highlighting important social justice issues, and the Cadwalader Task Force for the Advancement of Women, which has created career-enhancing initiatives for women and diverse attorneys. She is also noted for her role as a partner sponsor of the firm’s LGBTQ affinity network.
