Cadwalader partner Dorothy Auth, one of the leaders of the firm’s Intellectual Property Group, has been selected again to the “IP Stars” list by Managing Intellectual Property magazine. The IP Stars list is based on the magazine’s independent review of market feedback from peers and clients and publicly available information.
Auth, who was named an IP Star in 2017, has more than 20 years of experience in complex patent litigation, as well as licensing, patent procurement, and intellectual property counseling in the United States and abroad. Her experience spans diverse industries, including biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and medical devices, as well as consumer products, computers, and other mechanical devices. She addresses intellectual property diligence issues surrounding mergers, acquisitions, and bankruptcies and, in the transactional area, advises clients on the validity of target patents and performs clearance analysis on the patents of competitors to render freedom-to-operate opinions. Auth also litigates in U.S. Federal Courts and in international arbitrations conducted under the WIPO rules.
