Cadwalader Partner Duncan Grieve has been listed in Global Investigations Review’s “40 Under 40 2024,” published June 28.
Published every four years, the GIR 40 Under 40 lists the next generation of investigations specialists. This year’s group includes professionals from 12 jurisdictions “who have gone above and beyond in their work.” In addition to profiling each honoree, GIR asked the winners to discuss the trends they expect to see in white-collar crime enforcement over the next four years.
Duncan pointed to “whistleblowing, including whether whistleblowers should be provided with financial rewards, as an important debate in the UK this year and beyond”. “Conclusions from a government review of the UK’s whistleblowing rules are expected in 2024. In the light of the SFO director’s repeated comments and their growing adoption by US enforcement agencies, it will be very interesting to see whether the review makes any recommendations regarding reward-based whistleblower programmes for criminal misconduct”.
