Cadwalader Tax Group Chair Linda Swartz was honored as the 2024 North America Tax Practice Leader of the Year at the International Tax Review’s annual Americas Tax Awards ceremony, held yesterday in New York.
According to the publication, this year’s 20th annual awards “aims to celebrate the most impressive tax, transfer pricing, tax disputes, and indirect tax teams and practitioners across 15 jurisdictions throughout the region. The awards also recognize achievements in tax technology, innovation, policy, compliance and reporting, as well as diversity, equity, and inclusion.”
The award is the latest in a series of 2024 accolades acknowledging Linda’s leadership as both one of the nation’s foremost tax practitioners and a champion for diversity and inclusion in the legal profession. In the past nine months alone, Linda has earned recognition from Chambers Global, Chambers USA, Legal 500 U.S., The Best Lawyers in America, IFLR (as a “Tax Lawyer of the Year” finalist), Lawdragon 500 Dealmakers in America (for the fourth consecutive year), and Crain’s New York Business (as a Top LGBTQIA+ Leader for the third consecutive year); and she also received a JD Supra “Reader’s Choice Award” in connection with her thought leadership efforts overseeing Cadwalader’s BrassTax publication.
