Cadwalader counsel Bilal Sayyed spoke with GCR about the withdrawal of collaboration guidance by the US antitrust agencies in an article, "Loss of collaboration guidelines irks practitioners," published on December 16.
Bilal commented on the withdrawal, saying it was "good government" for the Biden Administration to abandon old guidelines that do not reflect the current state of the world.
"They're old; they're inconsistent with the law and we ought to clean it up," Bilal added. Bilal also questioned why Democratic leadership would provide a Republican Administration with a "great opportunity" to issue new guidance that progressives might take issue with.
