Microsoft Urges FTC to Investigate Potential Leak

Cadwalader counsel Bilal Sayyed spoke with GCR about Microsoft request to the Federal Trade Commission's inspector general to probe whether agency leadership improperly leaked reports of an antitrust probe into the company's cybersecurity, cloud storage and artificial intelligence businesses in an article, "Microsoft Urges FTC to Investigate Potential Leak," published on December 4.

Bilal commented that Microsoft's letter is notable because many companies shy away from commenting on the leaks due to fears of retaliation.

"Microsoft is pushing back on what has become a practice of leaks by the Commission under current leadership," Bilal said.
