Alissa Rowens is an associate in Cadwalader’s Finance Group. She represents global investment banks, national and international financial institutions, investors and servicers in domestic and cross-border transactions, including the origination of mortgage and mezzanine loans, syndication, loan servicing, non-performing loan securitizations, loan restructuring and bankruptcy-related matters. Alissa’s experience includes the financing of a wide range of commercial properties, including hotels, commercial office buildings, shopping centers, multifamily and self-storage properties.
Alissa contributes to Cadwalader’s pro bono commitment by representing New Yorkers in public housing cases against the New York City Housing Authority, appeals for the denial of parole for incarcerated individuals and transgender legal name change cases. Alissa has also provided significant contributions to the Lawyers for Good Government Reproductive Rights Project.
Alissa is a member of Cadwalader’s Women’s Leadership Initiative and Cadwalader’s Asian Pacific American Attorney Resource Group, serves as an Associate Mentor for summer associates and is involved in the firm’s on- and off-campus recruiting efforts.
Alissa received her J.D., magna cum laude, from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law where she was named to the Order of the Coif and Associate Editor of the Cardozo Law Review, and her B.A. from the University of Michigan. Alissa is admitted to practice in the State of New York.
