Andrew Greenberg focuses his practice on representing debtors, creditors, lenders, and strategic investors in both in-court and out-of-court restructurings. He regularly guides companies facing financial distress, creditors of troubled companies, and investors seeking opportunities to acquire distressed businesses or assets.
His restructuring experience spans a variety of industries and includes the shipping, publishing, chemical, energy, financial, retail, real estate and manufacturing sectors.
Andrew’s experience also extends to representing energy and commodity companies, financial institutions, and trade associations in a variety of regulatory, compliance, transactional, and risk management matters. He advises clients on various matters associated with the Commodity Exchange Act and CFTC regulations, Dodd-Frank implementation, energy and commodity transactions, and enforcement matters before the CFTC and other government and regulatory bodies.
Andrew joined Cadwalader in 2009. He received his J.D. from Fordham University School of Law and graduated with distinction from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, earning a B.A. in Legal Studies and a criminal justice certificate. Andrew is admitted to practice in New York as well as the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
