Douglas Kerridge is a Senior Attorney in Cadwalader’s Financial Services Practice with over 25 years of legal and banking experience in the structuring, negotiation and execution of funded and unfunded structured product transactions.  He focuses his practice on Credit Risk Transfer (CRT) and other structured product and derivative transactions involving global and regional banks and buy-side institutions such as hedge and private credit funds.  Doug has worked on a number of CRT transactions and other structured credit transactions linked to corporate and sovereign debt, capital call subscription facilities, residential mortgages and other underlying reference portfolios. 

He is highly skilled in drafting and negotiating various transaction agreements and term sheets, including structured note documentation, ISDA Master Agreements, Credit Support Annexes, MRAs, MSFTAs, credit-default swaps, total return swaps, interest rate swaps and other derivatives swap documentation.

Prior to joining Cadwalader, Doug worked as in-house counsel and a front-office structurer at a number of leading global investment banks, including Bank of America, Natixis, HSBC and Bankers Trust. Doug has significant international experience in the UK and Europe, Canada, the Middle East and Asia, including five years as a structured credit banker based in London.

Doug received his J.D. from the University of Baltimore School of Law and earned his B.A. from Lafayette College.
