Justin B. Larson is a licensed attorney in both Ontario and Manitoba, Canada, and a law clerk in Cadwalader’s market-leading Fund Finance practice.
Justin primarily represents insurance companies, banks, private lenders and other financial institutions in lender-side bilateral, club and syndicated NAV financings, GP credit solutions, rated feeders, liquidity facilities and other private equity complex bespoke credit solutions. Additionally, Justin advises middle-market private equity sponsors on borrower-side acquisition finance transactions.
Prior to joining Cadwalader, Justin was an associate with a leading law firm in Western Canada, where he practiced commercial and corporate law, handling mergers and acquisitions, acquisition finance, corporate governance and restructuring, real estate transactions and securitizations. Justin previously served as a judicial intern for the Dallas County District Court, Fourth Judicial Circuit of Alabama, where he also supported local nonprofits with legal research. Justin is a member of the Law Society of Ontario and the Law Society of Manitoba.
Before entering the legal profession, Justin was a professional hockey player for teams in the U.S. and Europe, following a successful amateur career playing and coaching the sport at the top collegiate level in Canada.
Justin received his J.D. from York University – Osgoode Hall Law School and his B.A. from the University of Waterloo, where he earned a distinguished academic achievement award and was an Academic All-Canadian and University of Waterloo President’s Athlete.
