Michael (“Mike”) Gonzalez is a special counsel in the Capital Markets Group in Cadwalader's Washington, D.C. office. Mike’s practice involves representing issuers, underwriters, lenders, sponsors and investors in structured finance transactions, including collateralized loan obligations (CLOs), collateralized fund obligations (CFOs), rated note feeders (RNFs) and asset-backed lending facilities (ABLs). Mike routinely advises clients on the structuring, formation and regulatory considerations for CLOs, CFOs, RNFs and ABLs.
Mike also works with the firm’s Non-For-Profit Incubator to assist with the formation and organization of charities and review their applications for tax-exempt status. Mike was named by Super Lawyers as a Washington, D.C. Rising Star for Securities & Corporate Finance in 2023.
Mike was a summer associate in the Washington, D.C. office and received his J.D., cum laude, from the George Washington University Law School and an A.B. in economics from the University of Chicago. He is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia.
