Ron Lanning's practice is concentrated in commercial mortgage-backed securitization. Ron has represented investment banks and financial institutions in their roles as issuers, underwriters, placement agents, and mortgage loan sellers in both public and private offerings of mortgage-backed securities.
Ron has worked on single asset, large loan and conduit commercial mortgage-backed securities transactions. He has also represented investment banks in structuring and negotiating real estate loan participations, A/B Notes, preferred equity investments, CRE CLOs and mezzanine financing.
Ron was included in the 2022-2024 editions of The Best Lawyers in America for his work in Securitization and Structured Finance Law.
He received his B.S. from the Pennsylvania State University, his M.B.A. from Adelphi University, and his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, where he was a member of the Order of the Coif. Ron is admitted to practice law in the State of New York.
