Sara Skutch is an associate in Cadwalader's Global Litigation Group based in the firm's Washington, D.C. office. Her work focuses white collar matters, federal administrative enforcement actions, civil litigation, and internal investigations.

Sara earned her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center, where she was a legal research and writing law fellow, as well as a staff editor on the Journal of National Security Law and Policy. While in law school, she externed with the Department of Justice’s National Security Division and the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s National Security and Cyber Law Branch. Prior to law school, Sara spent two years as an investigative analyst in the Sex Crimes Unit of the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office. In this role, she assisted with the investigations and indictments of felony sex crimes prosecutions in Manhattan, participated in numerous survivor and witness interviews, and second-chaired a three-week jury trial. Sara earned her B.A. in Psychology and Peace, War & Defense from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she graduated with highest honors for a thesis based on independent research and interviews in post-genocide Rwanda. She is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia.
