William Schaaf is a special counsel in Cadwalader's Private Client Group. William advises U.S. and non-U.S. individuals, families and fiduciaries on a broad range of matters, including U.S. and international trust and estate planning, U.S. income, estate, gift and generation-skipping transfer tax planning, business succession planning and charitable giving.
William is a member of the American Bar Association (Section on Real Property, Probate and Trust) and the New York Bar Association (Trusts and Estates Section). He graduated with a B.A. from Haverford College and earned his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and LL.M. in Taxation from New York University School of Law. He is admitted to practice in the State of New York.
