Since 2012, the SEC whistleblower program has paid out more than 400 cash awards to whistleblowers, many of whom aren’t U.S. citizens, including nationals from countries unfriendly to the United States. In this op-ed, Martin discusses the downsides of the whistleblower program and the effect it is having on the relationship between corporate America and the government.
