Cadwalader×Hunter White is a counsel in Cadwalader’s Capital Markets Group. Hunter's practice focuses primarily on representing commercial banks, investment banks, government-sponsored enterprises (GSEs), managers of hedge funds and private equity funds and other financial institutions in connection with corporate, finance and structured finance transactions. Hunter advises issuers and underwriters in consumer loan asset-backed securitizations, GSE-sponsored residential mortgage-backed securitizations and student loan asset-backed securitizations. Hunter also advises investment managers on the formation and operation of both U.S. and non-U.S. hedge funds.

Cadwalader×David Gingold is a corporate and securities lawyer whose practice is concentrated in structured finance, securitization and derivatives. He has a wide range of experience representing underwriters, issuers, collateral managers, investors, loan sellers, and swap providers in various types of public and private securities offerings and structured finance transactions. Along with representing clients in connection with debt and equity offerings, David provides clients with advice regarding the structuring, ongoing operation, trading and liquidation of various types of public and private securitizations, including cash, synthetic, commercial real estate-backed and hybrid collateralized debt obligations, collateralized loan obligations (CLOs), ABS warehouse financings, permanent asset-backed portfolio financings, repackagings, and fixed and floating rate commercial mortgage securitizations.
In particular, David is regular CMBS issuer and loan seller counsel to an international bank and assisted the institution in setting up its platform. David also assisted another international bank in setting up its CLO warehouse lending and arranging platform and regularly represents the bank on CLOs and on a variety of other asset-backed financing transactions. In addition, David regularly represents a major investment bank with respect to investing in CLOs and liquidating CLOs, ABS CDOs and other types of structured financings.
David served as one of the primary attorneys in Cadwalader's representation of the United States Department of the Treasury in its Community Development Capital Initiative, helping to develop documentation and overseeing the closing of more than 70 investments with a variety of banks and credit unions.
Additionally, David has significant experience representing counterparties in derivatives transactions, including credit default swaps, total return swaps, and interest rate and basis swaps. He also has experience in mergers and acquisitions, leveraged lease financing, and general corporate counseling.
David received his B.A. from Williams College and his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School. He is admitted to practice in the State of New York.

Neil represents underwriters, dealers, issuers, institutional investors, and sponsors in a wide range of matters involving the financing and securitization of traditional and non-traditional credit assets. Neil has extensive experience using cash flow, market value, and hybrid structures, and is recognized as a leading practitioner in the CLO 3.0 market.
In addition, Neil represents issuers, sponsors, derivatives dealers, and end users in a broad range of matters, including structured swaps, total return instruments, credit derivatives and investment contracts, and other types of structured products.
Neil has served multiple terms on the Board of Directors of the Structured Finance Association (SFA), the leading trade and policy organization in the securitization industry. SFA’s activities include directing policy initiatives, advising on advocacy efforts, organizing educational events, and ensuring that the organization properly represents the full spectrum of its members' views in the area of securitization. Neil led the Cadwalader team that represented SFA in preparing and submitting an amicus briefing in connection with the Hertz Global Holdings Inc. bankruptcy. The rental car giant filed for Chapter 11 protection in May 2020 after its business was heavily impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Our amicus brief focused primarily on matters of policy and structure related to Hertz’s securitization platform.Neil is a frequent commentator on industry issues, and has been recognized for excellence in structured finance and securitization by leading industry guides, including The Legal 500 U.S., which named Neil a “Hall of Fame” securitization lawyer, and Chambers USA, Chambers Global, Who’s Who Legal and Euromoney’s Expert Guides. Most recently, he was recognized among the top 30 “Structured Finance and Securitization” practitioners in the Euromoney Expert Guides 2021 edition of the Best of the Best USA. He has authored or co-authored numerous comment letters, articles, and memoranda on regulatory and securities law matters, including the Dodd-Frank Act and the Volcker Rule. In addition, Ira has worked extensively on transactions in the life sciences and technology sectors involving strategic alliances and commercialization collaborations, and intellectual property monetizations.
