At the end of this month, Ellie Halfacre leaves Cadwalader to attend law school. For those of you who don’t know her, Ellie is an extremely bright paralegal who, for the last two years, has been committed full-time to helping us run Cadwalader’s Not-for-Profit Incubator. The Incubator is a pro bono initiative that has incorporated, advised, and obtained tax exemption for more than 300 nonprofit organizations over the last 10 years.

While we are sad to see Ellie go, we are excited to welcome aboard Harris Greenberg, her successor.

Harris joins us at a crucial moment for nonprofit initiatives: the COVID-19 pandemic has endangered the physical, mental, and financial health of millions, and the Black Lives Matter movement and Pride Month remind us how important it is to help build a society that welcomes everyone. The Incubator leverages the transactional expertise of Cadwalader’s attorneys and staff to make it easier for activists to effect significant and long-lasting change in our communities. We are proud to help, and we can’t wait to see what good they do.
