In September, the Firm co-hosted an in-person Life Planning Clinic with Bloomberg Legal at our New York offices. Cadwalader and Bloomberg volunteers paired up to help low-income seniors, referred by Volunteers of Legal Service (VOLS), with drafting and executing their life planning documents. These documents enable pro bono clients to ensure that their dying wishes are fulfilled, and to maintain income and avoid homelessness, and also enable their caregivers to provide the care and services necessary for clients to access health care and age in place. In addition to hosting the clinic with Bloomberg Legal, the Firm also co-hosted a Wills training program with Morgan Stanley’s Legal and Compliance Division as part of our Veterans Day activities.
