Summer of Charlotte Pro Bono & Community Service
Late summer can sometimes be a slower period, but not for our Charlotte office’s pro bono and community service efforts! Cadwalader volunteers participated in four important programs over a period of one week:
- On July 31, associate Lauren Everett participated in a clinic hosted by CLIMB, in partnership with the Mecklenburg County Office of Economic Development, to consult with small business owners interested in business funding options.
- On August 1, for the second consecutive year, a Cadwalader team (Alicia Davis, Avis Edwards, Caleb Eiland, Andrea Hoffer, Sara Markov, Joseph Mascherin and Matthew Robertson) participated in a summer wills clinic with Bank of America at Huntersville Library to assist low-income North Carolinians with completing their life planning documents.
- On August 6, our Events Manager, Cori Niemann, staffed our monthly volunteer shift with Wells Fargo at Roof Above Men’s Shelter.
- On August 8, the Firm partnered with Bank of America and Legal Aid of North Carolina to host another Lawyer-on-the-Line event to provide legal advice to clients with landlord-tenant repair issues over the phone. Thank you to partner Chris Dickson for leading this effort.
