Cadwalader has been shortlisted by The Lawyer Awards 2021 as “Finance team of the year” in recognition of the firm’s role as deal counsel in advising Investec on a €1bn secured note programme backed by subscription credit facilities with one of the UK’s largest insurers. As one of the first transactions in this new product area for the London market, the representation required the drafting of new documentation that considered multi-faceted cross-border security and insolvency issues.
The Investec team was led by Neno Raic and Helen Griffiths and the Cadwalader team was led by partners David Quirolo and Samantha Hutchinson and included Sabah Nawaz, Adam Blakemore, Catherine Richardson, Assia Damianova and Jeff Effah.
